Our newest program "Hollowood Rocks" emphasizes performance training and takes small groups of students through the complete experience of a working band, from set-List construction, decision-making, rehearsals and culminating in a public showcase performance at a local venue held at the end of each module.
Tim Baurle is a solo eight-string guitarist whose repertoire includes original compositions and unique arrangements of jazz standards, blues, pop/rock classics and holiday selections. His instrument of choice is the Novax 8-string guitar, which enables him to handle guitar and bass chores simultaneously. Public venues where he has recently performed include Butler Brew Works, Rumfish Grille and Wallce’s TapRoom in addition to many private functions.
In addition to performing, Tim is a full-time guitar instructor at Hollowood Music & Sound, where he has taught exclusively since 1997. No styles or approaches are discouraged as he provides all students with valuable insight culled from many years of teaching and performing experience. His students range from absolute beginners to seasoned pros and quickly develop a comfort level with him. Recent career highlights include performing with Charlie Hunter (March 2010 and October 2010), Jim Campilongo (October 2010) and Alex Skolnick (August 2005 and May 2007) in masterclasses which he organized, promoted and emceed at Hollowood.
Tim is a 1993 graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University (Winchester, VA) and holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition with a minor in applied guitar.
Stacy Gray graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts where he received a Bachelor of Music Degree in guitar and film scoring. He attended graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh where he taught in the jazz department. He has had the opportunity to study with Academy Award winning composer Don Wilkins, and legendary jazz educator Nathan Davis, and has shared the stage with a variety of recording artists including Fleetwood Mac, Kool and the Gang, and Branford Marsalis, and has performed on television for PBS, and in the Emmy Award winning movie "The Temptations."
He is a dedicated music educator who has the experience to help you reach your goals as quickly as possible.

Annalisa Sewald is a graduate of the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education and a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate. While at Duquesne she studied classical piano under Kenneth Burky. She has been teaching privately since 2007, and has taught a wide variety of students. She has taught students with learning disabilities, students on the Autism Spectrum, students with ADHD, and gifted students. Annalisa enjoys giving her students an opportunity to share music with others. She encourages collaboration between her students, and plans recitals for them. She also has students who share music with the community. Annalisa is dedicated to exposing her students to different genres of music and instilling in them an appreciation for the arts.
